April 14, 2010 - Annual Southern Pines House and Garden Tour - Southern Pines Garden Club's 62nd consecutive tour of six homes and their gardens, 10 am - 5 pm. Advance tickets are $15. Tickets the day of tour are $20, and are available at the Campbell House, 555 East Connecticut Avenue, Southern Pines. For more information call (910)295-4617.

April 16 - 18, 2010 - Longleaf Pine Horse Trials - Free for spectators. Horses and riders compete in a three-phase competition including dressage, cross-country, and show jumping. Carolina Horse Park, Montrose Road, Raeford. For more information call (910)875-2074.

April 23 - 25, 2010 - Fayetteville Dogwood Festival - With approximately 30 different events including everything from sporting events to concerts, street dances to children's events, the festival maintains a "something for everyone" philosophy. For more information call (910) 323-1934.

April 24, 2010 - Springfest - Hours 10 AM -4 PM. Broad St., Southern Pines is lined with crafts, food, youth activities, entertainment, etc. Kid's Block is full of activities for kids. Bring your bike, tricycle or big wheels for the annual Youth Bike Races for children 10 and under. Tour de Moore winners announced. April 24, 2010 - Tour De Moore - Hours: 9 AM - 1 PM. Several levels of competition. Riders from around the world participate in this feature race: 100 miles around Moore County. April 30, 2010 - Run for the Roses Wine Tasting - 6 - 9pm. Come celebrate the Kentucky Derby with amazing wines, great food and unbeatable company. Advance reservations necessary.
