August 5 - 7, 2010 - Robbins Farmers Day Festival
- Free festival, small fee for Rodeo, carnival rides and games. One of the largest horse parades on the East Coast. Enjoy country, bluegrass, gospel and beach music. Entertainment also includes Rodeo, fireworks, mule show, arts & crafts, and antique tractor show. Food vendors on site. Middleton Street, downtown Robbins. August 7 - 8, 2010 - House in the Horseshoe Annual Battle Re-enactment
- Annual Battle Reenactment. Recreation of the attack on the 1781 Alston House near the end of the Revolutionary War's southern campaign. Military encampment, demonstrations, sutlers with period goods for sale, and cannon demonstrations. The battle takes place both days. For more information:(910) 947-2051.


August 9, 2010 - SCC Jazz Band Outdoor Concert
- 6:30pm. Free. Bring a lawn chair and picnic if you wish. In the event of rain, concert moves to Owens Auditorium on the SCC campus. Barbecue Dinners by Jordon's, Starting at 5:00 PM, $7.00 per plate. Sandhills Community College, Airport Road, Southern Pines. (910)692-7966.


August 14, 2010 - Blue Grass and Bar-B-Q
- 5:30-8pm. Come to the Fair Barn in Pinehurst, NC and enjoy Smithfield Bar-B-Q. Music will be provided by the Blue Grass Tradition. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Pinehurst Police Department for $20 or at the door for $25. Please make all checks payable to SONC (Special Olympics of North Carolina.) August 28, 2010 - Annual Luck Legacy Kiln Opening
